A Validation Model for Prediction of Kovats Retention Indices of Compounds Isolated from Origanum spp. and Thymus spp. Essential Oils

Abstract. This work aimed to obtain a validated model for the prediction of retention times compounds isolated from Origanum heracleoticum, vulgare, Thymus vulgaris, and serpyllum essential oils. In total 68 experimentally obtained compounds, which were separated detected by GC-MS further used build models. The quantitative structure–retention relationship was employed foresee Kovats indices acquired analysis, using eight molecular descriptors selected genetic algorithm. chosen as inputs four artificial neural networks, construct predictive model. coefficients determination in training cycle 0.830; 0.852; 0.922 0.815 (for found O. T. vulgaris oils, respectively), demonstrating that these models could be indices, due low error high r2.
 
 Resumen. El objetivo de este trabajo es la obtención modelos validados para predicción del tiempo retención los compuestos aislados aceites esenciales y serpyllum. Se han obtenido un tiempos compuestos, separándose detectándose por cromatografía gases con detección espectrometría masas (GC-MS) posterior desarrollo predicción. La relación cuantitativa estructura-retención ha sido utilizada predecir el índice obtenidos análisis GC-MS, utilizando ocho descriptores moleculares seleccionados mediante algoritmo genético. Los utilizados como entrada las cuatro redes neuronales artificiales así elaborar índices predictivos modelo estructura-retención. coeficientes determinación en ciclo entrenamiento fueron (para identificados respectivamente) demostrando que estos son útiles bajo alta r2.
